A friend was able to get a pass for me to the Utah Grand Prix. Here are two of the remaining 966 images. I did a quick edit to pare down to that count. These are res'd down to load.... but... you will get the point. Fun day.
The Chevy was cutting the corner (like everyone else) and this bounced the car's right size up. Pretty cool to see. The pair of Kia's are a Korean car... found it entertaining with the flag between them. They are trying to make a 'tough car' presence in the US by racing them. I believe these cars finished 1-2 in their class.

Rainy 5th South
I saw this picture some time ago when driving in Salt Lake City. Tonight I had some time. Equipment issues kept me from making this as I want the final version to be. But.... I thought the rainy street and the traffic lights made some interesting effects.

Great Salt Lake... Again
I seem to get to the Great Salt Lake when I need a moment away from life. Here is what I saw tonight.

Snow on Tree
Rain then snow then cold makes for interesting photos. Note that the trees were in the budding stage due to the warm Winter.

Lunar Eclipse over Great Salt Lake
Cold, poor light, high ISO... more of an effect shot.... don't look too closely... not tack sharp... but, I was there...

Grand Daughter at One Year
Grand Daughter Addi turns one this coming Friday. Took some time this afternoon and shot her in a variety of settings. This was the third frame... should have stopped then as this was a keeper.

Mike and Becky
Co-worker asked me to shoot some photos of them and their dogs. Note to self....working with people.... great.... working with animals..... funny.... they ignored a squeeky toy and I only had a few of dozens of shots that had both dogs facing sorta towards the camera. I made many exposure mistakes with and without flash.... but... learned alot and had fun. Thanks to Mike and Becky for their patience with me. These are some that I liked and worked on.

Salt Lake City at Night
I shot this with a 400mm lens and a 1.4X extender. With crop factor of the APS-C sensor it yeilds just short of 900mm at F8. This was shot from almost 12 miles away on the far side of the Salt Lake Valley. Not razor sharp... but.. I think it turned out pretty cool.
